This week we have three things to really get excited about:

Firstly, I turned 45 this week, and it was great to just hang out with my whole lovely family, what an absolute treat.

45 years old is scary for some, but not for me as I “identify” as 34, so overall I feel good.

Plus my ever magnificent wife bought me a meat mop

It doesn’t get any better than that, I have named him Julian.

Secondly, I attach to this email a gorgeous new magnesium infographic for your reception and treatment room.

Simple, clear explanation of what magnesium does,

How common it is to be low,

And exactly how to use the two supplements we offer, either on their own or in combination with our one a day essential multi.

And thirdly, even though last week I was able to provide a near mythical beast that is a proven supplement for a named condition, this week I am pretty much going to introduce you to a supplemental unicorn with sodding wings.

A supplement that has been tested in independent research studies (as in not conducted by the supplement companies) in the treatment of prostate (human) and breast cancer (mainly in animal studies), for removal of heavy metals (human studies), and for reduction of inflammation (animal and human).

Sounds too good to be true?

Maybe you think I am taking the pith?

Funny you should say that, because this supplement actually is based on just that.

They take the peel from citrus fruit and harvest the pectin and then enzymatically break this down so it is absorbable by the gut.

Thus, it is known as modified citrus pectin or MCP for short.

Now there is a huge amount of research in general on this, so I will let the researchers give you a flavour:

oh and:

and one more:

Let’s be clear, many of these are in vitro, some animal studies and some human ones.

You can check it here:

But the brand that has specific stuff to go over is called Pectasol-C, by Econugenics.

Let’s cut the quick…..quick.

A phase 2 study on prostate cancer

60 patients have already undergone prostate surgery and radio/chemotherapy, but that PSA is going back up, aka bio-chemically relapsed prostate cancer (BRPC).

The results:

78% no progression.

Tell me you are impressed.

Am I saying that is all you should do if you or a loved one has prostate cancer? No.

But to have that as part of your care plan is powerful.

MCP works by inhibiting a powerful pro-inflammatory molecule called galectin-3 (yeah me neither, I had to look it up).

Galectin-3 causes cancer growth in multiple ways:

  • It allows cancer cells to attach to one another. These groups are able to survive in your bloodstream and migrate to other parts of your body.
  • Once cancer cells have linked together, galectin-3 allows the cells to form into a mass and grow. They can also attach themselves to new sites, forming secondary tumors.
  • Galectin-3 shields cancer from the immune system. This is called “immune evasion.”
  • Galectin-3 feeds malignant tumors by stimulating new blood vessel growth to the tumor. This can even happen where there was no blood supply before.

It is also a powerful binder (this is why it must be taken away from food), and thus very useful for heavy metals, toxins from gut infections and mold exposure.

Pectasol C is available in the UK via www.yourhealthbasket.co.uk which you can get a practitioner’s discount for, which is useful as it is painfully expensive.

Full dosage for real issues is 5g ish x3 daily, 5g daily would be maintenance.

That means at full dose it would be at retail £111.61 a month or £37.22 a month on maintenance. Note this is for the powder, which is cheaper than the capsules per dose.

There are lots of other brands also selling it much cheaper. The only one I have used personally is from Swanson called Pectipure which works well, but has no research to support it. Hence, my Dad is on Pectasol-C from Econugenics.
