First, quick reminder on the free webinar on Wednesday Feb 5th at 7.30 PM on how to implement TURMERIC PLUS and META-BOOST in practice.

This will be a cheeky overview of the science & clinical trials with the very ingredients we have in the products AND then protocols for clinic and case studies.

Remember 99% of turmeric on the market have ZERO studies on clinical conditions. Some have studies to show they get better absorption than standard turmeric, but so what? What does it do for patients with knee OA, tendonitis, osteoporosis and on and on.

That is why we choose Turmeric & Boswellia Phytsosomes, we have proof of efficacy.

In other exciting news, I have partnered up with the lovely Chris Chippendale DC of Patient Centred Training fame https://patientcentred.co.uk/ and the no less lovely Aidan Robinson DC of Enchiridion Chiropractic Training https://enchiridion.uk/

Together we are bringing the very best of traditional Chiropractic knowledge and integrating it with the latest cutting edge knowledge.

We call this The Evolution of Chiropractic.

May 10th/11th in Dunnington, near Sheffield.

Last time we were discussing my ectopic heart beats, diagnosed by me, not the NHS, who have 3 months later still not really had a look, as premature ventricular contractions.

Now one of our CCCN members, Chris Pickard, is deep into heart health and I was able to pick his brains.

So, in no particular order:

Berberine.

10 RCT’s with 896 participants, they concluded “berberine alone had a similar effective rate to anti-arrthymia drugs, with a lower IAR and recurrence rate”

I used this product from Thorne as it has Phytosomal Berberine (and you know how I feel about phytosomes from the TURMERIC PLUS product). The oral bioavailability of berberine is so poor so I wanted the absorption benefits of the phytosome.

And we also added taurine at 10g (to 20g) plus arginine and citrulline to increase nitric oxide.

“Case histories of people with very frequent arrhythmias are presented showing 10–20 g taurine per day reduced PACs by 50% and prevented all PVCs but did not prevent pauses. Adding 4–6 g of l-arginine immediately terminated essentially all remaining pauses and PACs, maintaining normal cardiac rhythm with continued treatment.”

Nitric oxide is the body’s endogenous dilator of arteries, so it lowers blood pressure and gets more blood to the tissues.

Note arginine is the immediate precursor to nitric oxide (NO) but you can also make it from nitrates from food.

Now the issue with taking arginine to make NO is it needs to get into the blood and heart, and then get converted into NO. But it must first go through the gut lining and arginine may be converted into NO in the gut lining.

And arginine can also be converted in the gut lining into glutamine (after 5 conversions), which is a key fuel for the gut (along with butyrate).

So, to by pass this we go via two routes.

Yes, we use arginine as some will get through, but also citrulline (a precursor to arginine) is absorbed into the blood then converted into arginine and then NO.

I also added beetroot powder in capsules, to increase my nitrates.

This is a protocol which is good for natural help with blood pressure, heart issues and indeed good for exercise.

Check out Chris Pickards site on blood pressure here, it is a great resource for patients who want to natural regulate their blood pressure. Click it 👉 https://www.beatbloodpressure.com/
